The value you get per dollar is amazing. Many features are available at no cost when other similar
services charge for them or do not have them available at all.

Questions about vertical live streaming
A vertical live stream uses a portrait canvas, usually 9:16. At 1080p, the picture is 1080 pixels wide and 1920 pixels tall, for a phone held upright.
Yes. Upstream supports portrait output and YouTube as a destination. Read the YouTube Shorts live guide for setup instructions.
Yes. Play an uploaded playlist continuously in portrait, or schedule when it starts and ends. Check the destination's rules before planning a continuous broadcast.
Choose portrait 720p, 1080p, 1440p or 4K. You need a 4K plan for 1440p or 4K, and a 60 fps plan for 60 fps. Check that your destinations accept the settings.
Stream Designer has logos, text and now-playing overlays. You can also use a countdown or choose from 9 lower-third styles. Position them for the portrait canvas and check the picture on a phone.
Choose a portrait setting in Resolution & Orientation and add your videos. A tall video on a horizontal canvas still produces a horizontal stream. Frame the sources for 9:16 and place graphics in Stream Designer. Check the preview, then start the stream and watch it on a phone, with audio on.
Yes. Add TikTok and Instagram as destinations. Both receive the same encode; Upstream does not make a separate rendition for each platform. It stops an Instagram multistream destination at 3 hours 55 minutes. Check your account's streaming access and the platform's rules before planning the broadcast.
Yes. Click Publish in Builder to put playlist and graphics edits on air without stopping the broadcast. Keep text short and leave space for player controls and chat. In Live Studio, graphics show and hide instantly.
Yes. Start and end times can repeat daily or weekly. You can also run on/off cycles up to 72 hours and stop after 1 to 1000 cycles. Check the destination's session limits when setting the schedule.
No. Every destination receives the same H.264 encode. Upstream does not create per-destination renditions or adaptive bitrate ladders. Choose settings that all destinations on the stream accept.
