How to go live on Instagram from a computer
Step 1: Open Live Producer on instagram.com
Click Create, then Live video. Add a title, pick Practice or Public and copy the server URL and stream key. Instagram only lets public accounts with 1,000 or more followers go live.
Step 2: Paste them into Upstream
Create a free account, choose Instagram, paste both and set the output to 1080p (Vertical).
Step 3: Go live
Start the stream from Live Studio in your browser or from OBS. When the preview shows in Live Producer, click Go live.
Vertical 1080p, so Instagram doesn't crop
Instagram crops the sides of any stream that isn't 9:16. Set Resolution & Orientation to 1080p (Vertical) and the whole frame shows.
