Supported streaming platforms

Upstream streams to all 37 platforms on this page, and to any other service that gives you an RTMP or SRT URL. Seven are built in. YouTube and Twitch connect through your account. Kick, Facebook and Mixcloud take a stream key. Instagram and Rumble take a server URL and a stream key. TikTok and the rest of the directory connect as Custom RTMP or Custom SRT destinations.

Custom RTMP is how you stream to a platform or server that is not built in, using the server URL and stream key it gives you. Upstream accepts rtmp:// and rtmps:// URLs. In the stream wizard, pick Other, paste both and save the destination. It then streams like any other destination, even for services not listed here.

In this directory, the services that take SRT are business video hosts, developer APIs and self-hosted media servers, such as Vimeo, Mux and MediaMTX. Their cards say RTMP or SRT. Upstream streams to them as a Custom SRT destination: paste the SRT URL the service gives you.

Yes, for pre-recorded and scheduled streams. Upstream plays them from the cloud, so they keep running with your computer off. Going live from your browser or from OBS needs your computer on.
