Small fixes that make camera feeds look better

Use these quick checks before interviews, webinars, browser studio sessions, and always-on channel recordings.

  • Light the face

Face a window or soft light, and avoid strong light behind you.

  • Frame at eye level

Keep the lens steady, clean, and slightly above eye level.

  • Match the machine

Drop resolution or frame rate if the preview lags on older hardware.

Permission Help

Camera access blocked?

Camera access requires HTTPS or localhost. If the prompt does not appear, reset the browser permission and refresh.

Chrome permission reset

  1. Look for the camera icon in the address bar.
  2. Choose "Always allow on this site".
  3. If no icon appears, open the lock menu and allow Camera.
  4. Refresh the page and test again.

Still not working?

Close other apps that might be using the camera, then try a lower resolution or reconnect the device.
