Crop the frame without losing the important part of the shot
A good crop changes the shape of a video while keeping the subject, captions, and important action easy to see. Choose the destination format first, then use the position control to decide which part of the original frame stays visible. Preview the complete clip before downloading because a subject that is centered at the start may move later.
Choose the output shape
Use 16:9 for a landscape video, 9:16 for a vertical clip, 1:1 for a square post, or 4:5 for a taller feed post. Cropping removes pixels outside that frame; it does not add borders or squeeze the original image.
Keep the subject in frame
Start with Center, then try Top, Bottom, Left, or Right when the subject sits away from the middle. Check faces, product details, logos, and burned-in captions at several points in the video before you export.
Know what the crop changes
This tool changes the visible frame and exports an MP4. It does not shorten the running time. If you also need to remove the beginning or end, trim the video first and crop the finished cut once.
