- 1
Choose a design
Pick one of the eight designs and replace the sample name and description with your own.
- 2
Edit the graphic
Set the font and the colours for the text, bar and accent. Resize the graphic, then drag it into place or choose a position along the bottom.
- 3
Download your lower third
Full-frame PNG keeps the graphic on a transparent 1920 × 1080 or 3840 × 2160 canvas. Graphic-only PNG crops around it. For motion, export a slide or fade animation with a green background.
Use your lower third
Show a name or caption
A lower third shows text near the bottom of the picture so viewers can still see the video. Use it for a name or role, a social handle, a location or a short news caption.
Add a PNG in OBS
In OBS, add the full-frame PNG as an Image source above the video and match it to your canvas. Use Graphic-only PNG if you want to resize and position the graphic yourself.
Add it in Upstream
Add the PNG to Upstream as an image layer in the designer. You can also use it in another encoder that supports transparent images.
Use an animated lower third
Add the MP4 as a video source and remove pure green (#00FF00) with chroma key. The silent animation enters, stays on screen, then exits. Preview it over your footage before going live.
