Small fixes that make audio cleaner

Keep a steady distance
Speak 6-12 inches from the mic and aim at the capsule, not the side.
Avoid clipping
If the meter jumps hard, lower input gain or move back slightly.
Control the room
Close windows, avoid fans, and record near soft furnishings to reduce echo.
Microphone access blocked?
Microphone access requires HTTPS or localhost. If the prompt does not appear, reset the browser permission and refresh.
Chrome permission reset
- Look for the microphone icon in the address bar.
- Choose "Always allow on this site".
- If no icon appears, open the lock menu and allow Microphone.
- Refresh the page and test again.
Still not working?
Check your system input settings, unmute the microphone, and close other apps that might be using it.
